Improving and Optimizing Economic and Material Cycles in Europe's Largest Biological Brewery with Effective Microorganisms
The development of models for recycling wastes using simple technologies are required today for regional programs of evnvironmental sanitation. Thus, the Lammsbraeu Brewery, which has been continuing along a ecological pathway in all operations, began using the technology of Effective Microorganisms (EM) for managing wastes and other problems, to which ecological solutions were not readily available. Thus all suitable raw materials are used from local sources grown without chemicals. The result has been the production of excellent quality beer, and the EM fermented residue is used as animal feed and valuable soil amendments. The success achieved in this ecologically friendly process with EM will be presented.
